  •  I would spend money (8+ / 0-)

if I had any.  That would help create jobs.  We'd still have a business that could hire people if there was a national health insurance (single payer) policy - our small business folded as a full time venture when we could no longer afford individual health insurance.

My son would spend money (and help create jobs) if he could find a job, but he's been out of work since he got his BA a year ago.  Of course, the fact that he has student loans that are crushing is a problem there, also.

This is really not rocket science.  People like me would spend money, create jobs, and hire people if we could.  Instead, the economic policy of the US is ensuring that fewer and fewer dollars ever pass my palm, and instead go to those who do not use it to create jobs.

Only Krugman among the 'mainsteam' economists seems to be pointing this out.
