  •  Did some phonebanking for Hahn (8+ / 0-)

Talked to 22 voters. 17 of them were voting for Hahn, two were voting for Huey and the other 3 were  undecided/not voting. The script did not give party ID so I do not know how many of these voters were Democrats, Independents or Republicans.

A few of the voters were excited about Hahn which was really good and one voter told me he shook her hand yesterday.

Also, I talked to a large number of minority voters, a mix of Hispanic and Asian voters and almost all of them were planning to vote and planning to vote for Hahn. Asian/Hispanic turnout is really crucial in this election and one Hispanic voter told me that he liked the Hahn family alot because he worked with the city (Los Angeles) for awhile.

One voter told me to stop sending her all of these calls so that means we are at least doing a good job calling voters.

    •  How many people list their phone numbers (1+ / 0-)

You can check by looking at the Street Index posted on the wall of a polling place. Less than half of voters list their phone numbers on their registration. I know I don't.

the data and fills in some of the gaps. But if you're unlisted, you're unlisted.

Ok, so I read the polls.

        •  What is Aristotle? (0+ / 0-)

I have had an unlisted number for nearly a decade and have never received a solitary campaign phone call except by the Bowen campaign during the primary for this election. Do you have any idea how they may have obtained the number? I asked the caller but she couldn't (or wouldn't) tell me. I hate to think Bowen might have used her position as SOS to get unlisted numbers.

    •  My dude (0+ / 0-)

Is with his family in Inglewood, not far from the district's borders.  I sent an email and told him to see if any of his friends live there.  Long shot, but hey, special election, you try your angles.

Ooh, if I were out there too, we could have had a vote-counting liveblog/venice beach party.  Stupid grad student salary...
