    her energy, votes and record as a councilwoman than as a candidate.  The point of a candidate is to win.  The point of an officeholder is...a lot harder.

    I mean, if that's critiquable, critique it.  But she didn't hustle like Huey?  Because she understood her district?  Doesn't mean much that I can infer.  I might try to run L.A. city council voting records through DW-Nominate and see where she lands.

      Huey was running a stronger campaign.

      I don't expect candidates in safe districts to campaign. I do expect them to not feel entitled to their seat.
