    Of course, there is a lot of debate as to whether there really are types, or only points on a continuum. For political ID, there are points on at least two, and probably more than two, continua, but in the Congress, the different continua are very nearly parallel (see Vote View stuff).  However, at other times in the US this was not so; and, among American voters it is not so; and in other places it is not so.

      the Dem party does not actually represent the people who elect it.  NOBODY represents us.

      A glaring example---over 70% of voters wanted a public option in the HCR.  And it was Dems who removed it, not Repugs.

      The Dems are simply not on our side.  Never were.  Probably never will be. They simply are not a liberal party.
