I can give my personal testimony to social mobility at Penn State.  I am the first member of my family ever to be graduated from college, back in 1973.  At that time Penn State was much more affordable than it is today.  My four years there have enriched my life beyond anything I imagined at the time.  My son is also a graduate, just a couple of years ago.  It is much less affordable now.  I often think how lucky I was to go to college in the 60's, when education for the working class was valued and supported.

JoePa was coach when I was there, as he is today.  I respect his integrity, his love of the University, and his generosity even if I seldom agree with his politics.  I think his comments show just how far today's GOP has moved away from moderate, or even sane, conservatism.

    Sweden. That's bad?
