I appreciate all the work that all unions do for the Democratic Party and subsequently me, and my family. Every single time that UPS guy stops by I thank him for being union.

Why I asked is because even though professionals are often union, like actors and editorial writers and teachers, sometimes the issues we face are different. Many non union laborers are now close to poverty, or below. Things are getting worse not better. We all are injured and old by our fifties. There is no job security or health insurance.

Wish there were more union jobs for labor.

    •  It's like "Office" contrasted with "Floor". (2+ / 0-)

A union of office workers has less of a visceral interest in infrastructure than the teamsters, who are driving on the roads that are dying and on life support through use of oil and gravel chips. Like the roads I'm now driving are dying.

"Office" worker union and "Plant Floor" worker union.
