    Also stupid.

Explain, please, how a paid speaking engagement is in any way, shape, or form the equivalent of the witnesses chosen to appear before a Senate committee. When someone says "we'd like you to come and speak to us," you take them as they are. When the  United States Senate decides to ask people in to testify, on the other hand, they have a duty to make the sample as representative as possible.

    •  Choi attacks Democrats/Liberals/Progressives... (0+ / 0-)

...with guns blazing and gives political cover to the right by associating with GOPROUD,CPAC, Breitbart, etc.

I've been involved in political campaigns & community organizing since 1990.  My experiences tell me that those who attack allies who are deemed impure more than their opposition are at best untrustworthy and counterproductive, and at worst crazy or stupid.

I'll let you decide which of those terms describes Choi's behavior.

I no longer trust him on this or any issue.

      •  Ah, so now "speaking to" is the same as (1+ / 0-)

"associating with." Which of course would mean, by your twisted not-exactly logic, that President Obama is giving cover to the teajadists since he's willing to talk with Republicans in Congress.

You'll pardon me for not caring whom you trust or on what issues. You obviously have issues of your own.

      •  That's stupid. (2+ / 0-)

And this is off the rails.

gives political cover to the right by associating with GOPROUD,CPAC, Breitbart, etc. a
Attending a conference is not "giving cover."

        Lots of people

I have no idea where the Breitbart reference comes from, the only connection I can see is Choi made a possibly unflattering joke about Breitbart's penis.

It appears to be your attempt to play a guilt by association game. Breitbart is a Republican, Dan Choi stood in a room with some republicans, therefore Dan Choi loves Andrew Breitbart.

          No.
Breitbart sits on the advisory board of GOPROUD.

Choi attended a party hosted by Breitbart:

          That's giving cover.

If Choi wants to hang out with people who think Breitbart is the Bee's Knees, he's welcome to do so, just as myself and others are welcome to call him out for associating with a scumbag like Breitbart.

I'm sure you have no reservations about trusting President Obama.

Even after he essentially handed the reins of health care reform over to a REPUBLICAN douchebag like Chuck Grasseley and loaded the deficit commission with conservative Republicans.

But oh no! Dan Choi went to a conservative conference, clearly he's the real threat to America, and not to be trusted!
