    •  I guess it depends on how much of an (0+ / 0-)

      issue their opponent made of it. I've seen it both ways up here. It's usually fatal to not live in the district you want to represent but almost always it's because the opponent hit 'em and hit 'em hard on it.

        But especially in places that aren't particularly insular, it's hard to imagine many gettable voters flipping out because the candidate lives across town. Most people don't have a clue about what the district boundaries are anyway.
