...the big bucks.  Along with taking the credit when things go right is taking the blame when thing goes wrong.  Remember, he's "the grown-up" in the room.  He knew this when he applied for and was hired for the job.  If he can't handle it, he can leave.  Nobody is holding a gun to his head and making him keep the job.  He can go to work on Wall Street at any time and make hundreds of millions of dollars per year...

    •  Yes, he can. And I'm glad he doesn't. (0+ / 0-)

But the continual pissing and moaning here is not useful, except to Boehner, McConnell, Cantor, the Koch Brothers, Trump and the Republican candidates for president.

I think the president has proven over and over he can walk, chew gum, tell jokes and order OBL killed at the same time. If people don't appreciate that, welcome President Bachmann!

      •  Because everybody knows... (0+ / 0-)

...that I have tremendous influence on public opinion.  I'm like Charles Fucking Schwab!  If only I would sit down, shut up, clap louder and allow the president to keep hippy-punching me in the face, everything would be okay, right?

So, I'm curious.  What do you do when your children does something wrong?  Do you scold them?  Do you tell them not to do it again?  Do you tell them why you think they shouldn't be doing what they are doing?  Or do you praise them, so as not to hurt their self esteem?  Or do you remain silent and Hope they never do it again?  Things like running out in front of traffic, or sticking their fingers into electrical outlets, or perhaps stepping out onto an electified rail track and killing the thing you've worked your whole life building, nurturing and protecting?

        •  No offense, you really don't have that much (0+ / 0-)

          influence.

As for kids, I don't have any - other people seem to produce more than enough. Either way, the president is not a child.

I hope your little rant has made you happy.

          •  That was, of course... (0+ / 0-)

...my point.  Voters don't give a flying monkey fuck what I or any other of the chuckleheads have to say on the Intertubes.  To claim that we are hurting Obama's chances of reelection is beyond lame.  He doesn't need our help ruining his chances for reelection; he's doing it all on his own...
