of the fringe. It hardly qualifies as a movement.
This is a country that denied Hitler, fought Hitler, and suffered for years under Hitler. Quisling wasn't a popular guy. Hamsun was barely tolerated - and only because of his immense literary standing.
I have no worries of the right-wing in Norway.

Any psycho anywhere can lash out and kill. The right-wing wins when society reacts by attempting to control and surveil its own citizenry, ostensibly to protect them.
America wasn't hurt by the 9/11 attacks nearly so much as America was damaged by its own self-inflicted changes in attitude and values in response to them.

I've lived in Norway for the last several years.

          •  You're a perfect example (0+ / 0-)

of why Norway's is now trouble: you're unable to face the reality that terrorism can also come from a nice, clean-cut  Christian just like yourself.

And totally wrong. Did you read what Andhakari said?

Andhakari acknowledges precisely what you've said. He or she just refuses to kowtow to fear. Bravo.

when a home-grown right-wing nutter kills close to a hundred people, and that nutter didn't come from Afghanistan, he came from Norway, and from a culture that's as deeply ethnocentric as any in Europe, many of whose members tacitly encourage and turn a blind eye to, this kind of Christian, white, Islamophobic activity. As black folks say,

He acts like his shit don't smell.
