    to take the TEFL course, that would be perfect.  I'll check out that possibility.  Thanks for info.

    •  be aware that many employers prefer younger (5+ / 0-)

      teachers, so being "mature" is not always an advantage...many employers, especially in asia, expect teachers to "entertain" students and tend to not employ older folks as readily

      but don't let that discourage you...i'm in my mid-fifties and doing quite well teaching abroad - last year we were in laos and my wife's school had several "older teachers" on staff making 20 usd an hour, which is pretty rockin money in laos - a fabulous country, btw
