  •  Wait a minute... (0+ / 0-)

In Luton Islamist extremists (from the former al-Muhajiroun group) ran a hate-filled demonstration against the troops of the Royal Anglian Regiment, who had recently returned from Iraq.

It was this demonstration (which most Britons would have found as offensive as similar demonstrations in the US by the Westboro Baptist Church) which led to the formation of the EDL in the first place.

...with less than 20 people out of 20,000-25,000 Muslims living in Luton (and about 2.8 million Muslims in the entire country) created an organization that continues their counter-protests for two years now against, not al-Muhajiroun, but all Muslims in the UK, the vast majority of whom don't belong to or support the latter group.

Sounds like an enormous overreaction on the part of non-Muslims to me.  In other words, this is a one-sided battle.

Muslims and tigers and bears, oh my!
