However, you touched on it yourself in your second sentence. This psychopath had become disenchanted with the PP, apparently feeling they weren't take-action enough. So, smearing Phillips just ain't gonna work. It's easy for them to say that Breivik was a lone nutter.

Now, if he had been the party's poster boy, then you'd have a story.

So, he became "disenfranchised" that they were not moving fast enough...but that doesn't mitigate the fact that he found support and encouragement of his bigoted, anti-liberal beliefs in this organization.

In fact, one might argue that because this organization and speakers like Phillips did such a great job of convincing him that the left truly was evil, Breivik increasingly felt it was imperative to escalate things to the next level, which in his mind he did.

I don't think this exonerates Phillips' role, at all.

    •  Norway terrorist's ideology = Tea Party (0+ / 0-)

Norwegian's terrorist manifesto claims value in Nazi and Tea Party ideologies

7/24/11....Anders Behring Breivik's video manifesto suggests he was inspired by similar concerns as members of other conservative groups, such as the American Tea Party. His attack on US President Barack Obama as a "Marxist" seems inspired by Tea Party rhetoric.

The reportedly now confessed Norwegian terrorist makes explicit statements in his 1500-page written manifesto 2083—A European Declaration of Independence, connecting himself to a global conservative movement, which in his view includes the American Tea Party.

      Sidebar ---

Picture of Barack Obama taken from a Youtube video, alleged to be the political manifesto of Anders Behring Breivik, suspect in the terrorist attacks in Norway. Obama is used as an example of a Marxist infiltrator and "idol" meant to replace white heroes.
