it would be really helpful to be able to read about how and what you did...

It's so much easier to envision how to stand up to them, if we have examples of what others have done successfully.

never be in a situation where there are no observers who would report the events accurately.  Enablers and sycophants do not count.  They will support the version the bully gives.

One of the most incredible parts of bullying is when the bully says they "had" to behave that way because of the actions of the target.  The only way to refute their convincing blame game is to have witnesses or video that can give clear evidence.  One good example we have just seen is the statement given by Wasserman-Schultz in Congress that was obviously taped and then juxtaposing that with the email that West sent.  He claims he was forced to be a bully because of Wasserman-Schultz's behavior.  It was interesting when Jon Stewart played the tape of the statement in Congress to show the total fabrication of the justification.

On a general note, having read some of the news accounts of the extortion and intimidation (bullying) used by Murdoch's organization, you can see what happens (long standing fear in England) when people don't feel safe to oppose the threat or are too disconnected to pool their efforts to confront it.  We are going to have to stand up now or we could be so intimidated by right wing thugs that we won't  be able to organize.

If we waste any more time expecting the President to go it alone defending us from this threat, we are foolish.  He can't do it alone any more than anyone else could.

Figuratively, we should be locking arms like Nancy Pelosi did when they were walking between buildings during health care debates in Congress and the thugs started getting in the face of individual Congressmen and trying to intimidate them.

I photograph drag performers, who are a part of the lgbt community in Albuquerque.  I'm connected to that whole community via facebook.  They do a lot of mutual support via facebook.  It gives them a lot of solidarity when they are facing something difficult or deciding to join together to do something like the first Pride Parade in Clovis New Mexico, of all places.  There's no way they could advance without "locking arms."

It is really interesting to observe those conversations.
