"good Christians" in congress having a hard time explaining why their fellow Christians are being arrested for praying and singing.

The true test will be this-how many of the "good Christian" congress people will be re-elected after they vote in favor of the Tea Party bill.  Will people remember and not vote for them?

I'm curious about how those in Congress voting in favor of ripping off the poor explain their actions to the people back home and how it meshes with their "Christian" life.

mapamp, andycoster many conservative "Christians" are more than happy to hate on progressive Christians (it's another one of those things that they would see they're not supposed to do if they'd open the Bibles to a chapter other than Romans or Leviticus).

Those people who got arrested aren't "real Christians" because Paul tells us to submit to the authority of the state, which they were not doing.  Of course, Paul tells us to do this by paying our taxes, and they don't mind Christians protesting against taxes.  Also Jesus (who they know about because Paul mentions Him all the time) said we should stand up for the poor, but that means... oh, something else that's comfortable for conservatives to support.

Harboring resentment is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die.
