Posting a Diary Entry

Daily Kos welcomes blog articles from readers, known as diaries. The Intro section to a diary should be about three paragraphs long, and is required. The body section is optional, as is the poll, which can have 1 to 15 choices. Descriptive tags are also required to help others find your diary by subject; please don't use "cute" tags.

When you're ready, scroll down below the tags and click Save & Preview. You can edit your diary after it's published by clicking Edit Diary. Polls cannot be edited once they are published.

If this is your first time creating a Diary since the Ajax upgrade, before you enter any text below, please press Ctrl-F5 and then hold down the Shift Key and press your browser's Reload button to refresh its cache with the new script files.

  1. One diary daily maximum.
  2. Substantive diaries only. If you don't have at least three solid, original paragraphs, you should probably post a comment in an Open Thread.
  3. No repetitive diaries. Take a moment to ensure your topic hasn't been blogged (you can search for Stories and Diaries that already cover this topic), though fresh original analysis is always welcome.
  4. Use the "Body" textbox if your diary entry is longer than three paragraphs.
  5. Any images in your posts must be hosted by an approved image hosting service (one of: imageshack.us, photobucket.com, flickr.com, smugmug.com, allyoucanupload.com, picturetrail.com, mac.com, webshots.com, editgrid.com).
  6. Copying and pasting entire copyrighted works is prohibited. If you do quote something, keep it brief, always provide a link to the original source, and use the <blockquote> tags to clearly identify the quoted material. Violating this rule is grounds for immediate banning.
  7. Be civil. Do not "call out" other users by name in diary titles. Do not use profanity in diary titles. Don't write diaries whose main purpose is to deliberately inflame.

Please begin with an informative title:

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - A rally for Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum was disrupted for 20 minutes on Sunday by Occupy Wall Street protestors chanting, "Get your hate out of our state," and "Pro-life, pro-war, what are you fighting for?"

Santorum supporters clashed with the protestors and tried to shout them down with "We pick Rick!" One protester was shoved, but there were no other physical altercations. Santorum was calm, and preached tolerance, but also suggested the protestors should get jobs.

Wait, what? Santorum preached tolerance? Dear writer Rebecca Kaplan of CBSNews.com, I beg to differ! The guys entire career is built on a message of intolerance, saying that Santorun preaches a "message of tolerance" is like saying that Jeffery Dahmer was preaching a message of dietary recommendations.

Here's some footage from the event . . .

"Blessed are the meek, your lies are weak!"
More below the fold . . .

You must enter an Intro for your Diary Entry between 300 and 1150 characters long (that's approximately 50-175 words without any html or formatting markup).

And what kind of message of tolerance is it to suggest someone should just "Go get a job"? You know how I can tell that Rick Santorum is totally unqualified to be President? His jobs plan is to yell "GET A JOB!" at America.

But seriously, three cheers for Oklahoma! You couldn't possibly call the folk who showed up to stand up to Rick Santorum's brand of bankster approved bigotry a bunch of hippies, it's Oklahoma! Finding hippies in Oklahoma is like trying to find Ted Nugent at a library, it just isn't going to happen.

What is really telling is how Santorum turned his attack from the official Wall Street greed protesters to the official candidate of Wall Street, Willard Romney . . .

In the general election, whoever our Republican nominee is, isn't going to be able to outspend Barack Obama 6- or 7- or 8-to-1 to win an election. They're going to have to win this election being outspent. Governor Romney has never won a state in this country where he was outspent. ... What does that tell you about his ability to motivate and rally the people of America for the big change we need coming into the general election?"
Bold text added by the diarist
Well THANK YOU for the ammunition, Mr. Santorum, that's a very good point! I'm glad to see that you are as dead-set against the overpowering influence Wall Street and corporate money has in our politics as I am! And I'm sure, as a true culture war conservative, you will totally maintain ideological consistency in your remarks, being the little guy in the GOP race against big money Mittens . . .
“I’m not about equality of result when it comes to income inequality. There is income inequality in America. There always has been and, hopefully, and I do say that, there always will be.”

If you needed proof that religious people are totally screwing themselves on behalf of Wall Street by siding with the GOP, I submit for your consideration one Rick Santorum, who literally fights for the rich guy who is kicking his ass with big money.

So let's celebrate a win for the real little guys, the only true populists out there. "Get your hate out of our state," and "Pro-life, pro-war, what are you fighting for?" I want the bumperstickers.

Viva, Occupy!
