Posting a Diary Entry

Daily Kos welcomes blog articles from readers, known as diaries. The Intro section to a diary should be about three paragraphs long, and is required. The body section is optional, as is the poll, which can have 1 to 15 choices. Descriptive tags are also required to help others find your diary by subject; please don't use "cute" tags.

When you're ready, scroll down below the tags and click Save & Preview. You can edit your diary after it's published by clicking Edit Diary. Polls cannot be edited once they are published.

If this is your first time creating a Diary since the Ajax upgrade, before you enter any text below, please press Ctrl-F5 and then hold down the Shift Key and press your browser's Reload button to refresh its cache with the new script files.

ATTENTION: READ THE RULES.

  1. One diary daily maximum.
  2. Substantive diaries only. If you don't have at least three solid, original paragraphs, you should probably post a comment in an Open Thread.
  3. No repetitive diaries. Take a moment to ensure your topic hasn't been blogged (you can search for Stories and Diaries that already cover this topic), though fresh original analysis is always welcome.
  4. Use the "Body" textbox if your diary entry is longer than three paragraphs.
  5. Any images in your posts must be hosted by an approved image hosting service (one of: imageshack.us, photobucket.com, flickr.com, smugmug.com, allyoucanupload.com, picturetrail.com, mac.com, webshots.com, editgrid.com).
  6. Copying and pasting entire copyrighted works is prohibited. If you do quote something, keep it brief, always provide a link to the original source, and use the <blockquote> tags to clearly identify the quoted material. Violating this rule is grounds for immediate banning.
  7. Be civil. Do not "call out" other users by name in diary titles. Do not use profanity in diary titles. Don't write diaries whose main purpose is to deliberately inflame.

SOOO much dirt, so little Windex™.

The 'As the Snare tightens' saga continues for soon to be Ex-Governor of Wisconsin: Scott Walker ...

One way, or another ... the embattled Governor will soon be taking that long walk of shame. Maybe several of them.

Or so the smokey trails that lead to Scott Walker's office are all indicating.

Regardless of recall, Walker may face indictment

by David Shuster,  current.com  -- June 03, 2012

According to government lawyers familiar with a Milwaukee criminal corruption probe, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is now a "target" of the investigation.

The legal sources, who are not involved in Wisconsin's recall, spoke on condition of anonymity. They said Walker faces "serious legal challenges," including "a possible indictment," regardless of the election results on Tuesday.

According to government lawyers:

Governor Scott Walker IS now a "target" of the investigation.

SO Scott is NOT an innocent by-stander as he so often pretends. More likely he is the 'Ringleader' of his own modern-day den of thieves.

Nevermind, what Walker did as County Executive -- he's now reportedly got the Feds hot on his trail, for what he's done as Governor.

And as that last clip explained, the Feds CANNOT issue or discuss pending indictments, in the run-up to an Election. Strange law, if you ask me. Who wants to elect someone who flagrantly flaunts the Law?

Legal cloud gathers over Scott Walker as recall election approaches

by Ruth Conniff, thedailypage.com -- June 03, 2012

With the recall election less than two days away, federal prosecutors are closing in on Governor Scott Walker, according to veteran political reporter David Shuster, former Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager, and former district attorney Bob Jambois.

In a conference call organized by state Democrats on Saturday evening, June 2, Shuster, Lautenschlager, and Jambois laid out evidence that Walker is a target of a federal investigation.

Wisconsin Democratic Party Communications Director Graeme Zielinski added that there is evidence of wrongdoing after Walker's time as Milwaukee County Executive, and that the investigation includes criminal activity during his time as governor.
[...]

Jambois suggested that the emails Walker has not released must relate to a private email network, since reporters have been unable to access them through an open records request.

Lautenschlager agreed that "Walker should have produced evidence to clear himself" if he was not a target of investigation, and that it would be "malpractice" for his attorneys not to seek a letter from prosecutors clearing him.

Well it turns out Scott's Lawyers DID ask the local DA to clear his "good name"

-- and the reply they got from the John Doe Investigation DA?

Crickets ... Crickets.  The sound of all those Ads that DID NOT air.

Is Scott Walker Facing Indictment And Does It Really Matter To Walker's Wisconsin Supporters?

Rick Ungar, Contributor, forbes.com  -- June 03, 2012

[pg 2 of 3]

[...] According to Shuster’s report, Walker’s status was clarified approximately a week ago, following a series of efforts made by the Governor’s legal team to get the DA to publicly clear Walker of any wrong-doing before Tuesday’s recall election -- something the DA was unwilling or unable to do.
[...]

According to Mr. Shuster, Governor Walker’s problems may not rest only with the Milwaukee District Attorney as Shuster is reported to have said during the call, “I stand by my reporting 100 percent. It’s clear to me that he (Walker) is, in fact, a target in a federal investigation.” Shuster went on to confirm that his information was based on consultations with attorneys in the Justice Department’s Public Integrity Section.

Wisconsin Democratic Party spokesman, Graeme Zalienski, highlighted the point by adding, “The Wisconsin press has only reported about the John Doe -- the state component. They have not reported on the federal component of this.”

And it's not like that "state component" of Walker's charged and/or convicted associates, is not without its cringe-worthy consequences

-- they actually did some pretty hinky stuff, from Walker's County Office:

The Walker 6 might face for illegally running Scott Walker’s political machine.

Some key findings:

6: Walker aides and associates charged

15: Felonies committed by The Walker 6

77: Days since Scott Walker started his criminal defense fund

91.5: Years in prison The Walker 6 could face

1,000+: Number of emails Kelly Rindfleisch exchanged with Walker’s campaign managers while on taxpayer time

1,380: Number of fundraising emails Kelly Rindfleisch exchanged on taxpayer time

$62,232: Amount stolen from veterans and the families of fallen soldiers by Tim Russell and Kevin Kavanaugh

$192,178: Stolen from Milwaukee County taxpayers by Tim Russell and Kelly Rindfleisch to run Scott Walker’s political machine

$270,000: Amount in fines The Walker 6 could face

The people of Wisconsin deserve to know whether their governor is a criminal,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate said Thursday. “Scott Walker needs to come clean about his knowledge of and/or involvement in crimes that defrauded the taxpayers and robbed our veterans and their families. If Scott Walker truly has nothing to hide, he can put all speculation to rest by immediately releasing his emails so the people can see for themselves.”

Just remember, to clear his own "good name" all Walker has to do is release those 1400 emails, from his own Private Network, used for business conducted on the Wisconsin Public's Time.

And that has not happened for good reason no doubt, because Scott doesn't want to join the Gang of Six.

No worries Walker, from the sounds of it, those small-time state-offenders will soon be the last thing on your growing problem list.

Soon, you'll be looking for a plea-bargain yourself, for when the Feds come knocking on your Ex-Governor's door.

Karma's a bitch Walker, welcome to "Biggs" ... Who are you gonna give up, Scott?

Or does the buck really STOP at your 50 million-dollar campaign door?

Don't let the Boots on Ground, kick ya in your over-privileged perch, Mr CEO Walker.

Oh wait.  Too late!     Naah, naah, naw, Good Bye -- Good Bye!
