Issa: Latest Delay Shows Administration Unprepared for ObamaCare Rollout
September 26, 2013
WASHINGTON- House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., issued the following statement in response to reports that the Administration will delay online enrollment for small-business exchanges.
“While President Obama was busy telling Americans that an increasingly unpopular law is ‘here to stay,’ ‘sources’ from his Administration were telling reporters that there would be yet another delay, this one denying small businesses the ability to enroll online through insurance exchanges. We already know that Obamacare is expensive, confusing, and raising health insurance costs for ordinary Americans. It is obvious that the Administration is just as unprepared for Obamacare’s October 1st start date as the rest of the country. So far the White House has issued delay after delay for parts of the law they find inconvenient, however, American families and individuals who will bear the brunt of the law have gotten no such relief.”
The Oversight Committee issued a staff report which found the Navigators and Assisters programs designed to enroll Americans in Obamacare pose huge risks for fraud, identity theft and lack proper safeguard to protect sensitive, personal information. You can read the full report here.
In addition, Congressman Issa is hard at work, wasting valuable taxpayer dollars doing the following Tweets:
Now mind you, all of these five stupid Tweets were made after Issa Tweeted this:
Delays, delays, delays... #ObamaCare is not ready for primetime.— Darrell Issa (@DarrellIssa) September 26, 2013
So really, all he had to do was issue one Tweet if he wasn't planning on having any real discussion over Obamacare. Just ONE Tweet!
*face palm* I just don't understand this Issa man. He's quite... Something.
Anyhow, there is a new Democratic challenger to Darrell Issa in California's 49th Congressional District. His name is Dave Peiser, an Encinitas-based IT consultant and while it appears he's still getting his campaign together (no news to report at this moment other than Peiser's campaign website), it doesn't turn to e-mail him and/or his campaign, start getting involved and firing up the base.
Here's Peiser's information.

The website still needs more updating and we still need to know where Peiser stands.
At best, keep Mr. Peiser's information handy and forward it to as many people as you know to monitor the campaign. Should there be another Democratic candidate emerging, I will keep you guys informed as well.
However, if you want, you can also harass the San Diego County Democratic Party to mount a Democratic candidate on their own ASAP, the more the merrier!
