Posting a Diary Entry

Daily Kos welcomes blog articles from readers, known as diaries. The Intro section to a diary should be about three paragraphs long, and is required. The body section is optional, as is the poll, which can have 1 to 15 choices. Descriptive tags are also required to help others find your diary by subject; please don't use "cute" tags.

When you're ready, scroll down below the tags and click Save & Preview. You can edit your diary after it's published by clicking Edit Diary. Polls cannot be edited once they are published.

If this is your first time creating a Diary since the Ajax upgrade, before you enter any text below, please press Ctrl-F5 and then hold down the Shift Key and press your browser's Reload button to refresh its cache with the new script files.

  1. One diary daily maximum.
  2. Substantive diaries only. If you don't have at least three solid, original paragraphs, you should probably post a comment in an Open Thread.
  3. No repetitive diaries. Take a moment to ensure your topic hasn't been blogged (you can search for Stories and Diaries that already cover this topic), though fresh original analysis is always welcome.
  4. Use the "Body" textbox if your diary entry is longer than three paragraphs.
  5. Any images in your posts must be hosted by an approved image hosting service (one of: imageshack.us, photobucket.com, flickr.com, smugmug.com, allyoucanupload.com, picturetrail.com, mac.com, webshots.com, editgrid.com).
  6. Copying and pasting entire copyrighted works is prohibited. If you do quote something, keep it brief, always provide a link to the original source, and use the <blockquote> tags to clearly identify the quoted material. Violating this rule is grounds for immediate banning.
  7. Be civil. Do not "call out" other users by name in diary titles. Do not use profanity in diary titles. Don't write diaries whose main purpose is to deliberately inflame.

Please begin with an informative title:

I love color and music.Christmas is a great time of the year for me.At my age, gifts don't mean much but I see people I hardly ever get to see. It"s  a busy time but happy time in my world.
I have been told by some to not think of things I can do nothing to change. Mostly the friends are talking about Syria. Genocide is my term for whats going on there. Doctors report now about "the Death Game".Pregnant Women and children are being shot by snipers from rooftops.Snipers are looking just for them.Reminds me of the war when women would be raped and forced to have the enemies children. Bosnia and Herzegovina
was an ugly war.Imagine you are taking your daughter shopping and are shot. How would your family feel? The people living in Syria all have P.T.S.D.
Talking about ending this blood bath might start in Paris sometime in early 2014.In the meantime,I have forced myself to accept evil monsters are allowed free will by the rest
of the World to have their way.
There are SOME giants among us risking their lives to save others. Doctors without Borders lead the way in going where the killing fields are. I am asking you to spend
some of your Christmas money for the people of Syria. You can call,212-763-5779
and the Doctors without Borders folks will tell you what your gift buys.
I wish the United Nations had a force to step in and stop the killing, I wish the World Court had such an army.I do know America has to find OTHER ways to help fight evil.
Our nation has lost too much blood to keep fighting evil wherever it shows up,
So,enjoy your holiday and give a present to the folks in Syria. They need us.
