Today Meteor Blades noted that citizens are using social media here in WV to share information and access to water. On Saturday morning, I posted this diary which many were kind enough to recommend on The Friends of Water vs the Friends of Coal.
The state legislature is struggling to stop caving in the money interests of coal and chemicals. Somehow we can have business in this state unless we destroy the environment.
But people are waking up and finding out that small business and families are taking it in the teeth while big extraction industries keep doing what they always do- extract the coal, extract the money and leave the state to clean up their mess.
To find out more, join a local group like Friends of Water. There you can find out that you need to send a note to school if you don't want your child to drink the water.
