Posting a Diary Entry

Daily Kos welcomes blog articles from readers, known as diaries. The Intro section to a diary should be about three paragraphs long, and is required. The body section is optional, as is the poll, which can have 1 to 15 choices. Descriptive tags are also required to help others find your diary by subject; please don't use "cute" tags.

When you're ready, scroll down below the tags and click Save & Preview. You can edit your diary after it's published by clicking Edit Diary. Polls cannot be edited once they are published.

If this is your first time creating a Diary since the Ajax upgrade, before you enter any text below, please press Ctrl-F5 and then hold down the Shift Key and press your browser's Reload button to refresh its cache with the new script files.

ATTENTION: READ THE RULES.

  1. One diary daily maximum.
  2. Substantive diaries only. If you don't have at least three solid, original paragraphs, you should probably post a comment in an Open Thread.
  3. No repetitive diaries. Take a moment to ensure your topic hasn't been blogged (you can search for Stories and Diaries that already cover this topic), though fresh original analysis is always welcome.
  4. Use the "Body" textbox if your diary entry is longer than three paragraphs.
  5. Any images in your posts must be hosted by an approved image hosting service (one of: imageshack.us, photobucket.com, flickr.com, smugmug.com, allyoucanupload.com, picturetrail.com, mac.com, webshots.com, editgrid.com).
  6. Copying and pasting entire copyrighted works is prohibited. If you do quote something, keep it brief, always provide a link to the original source, and use the <blockquote> tags to clearly identify the quoted material. Violating this rule is grounds for immediate banning.
  7. Be civil. Do not "call out" other users by name in diary titles. Do not use profanity in diary titles. Don't write diaries whose main purpose is to deliberately inflame.

Please begin with an informative title:

U.S. Air Force Gen. Michael Hayden, Director of the CIA, greets reporters as he departs a closed-door session with the House Select Committee on Intelligence at the Capitol in Washington, December 12, 2007. &nbsp;REUTERS/Jonathan Ernst &nbsp; (UNITED STATES) - RTX4
Micheal Hayden. Monster. Sexist monster.
Tough guy Michael Hayden, former CIA director and torture booster, thinks that the whole problem between Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), chair of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI), and the CIA is that she's just too "emotional" to be able to produce a fair report.
Speaking on "Fox News Sunday" about a Senate Intelligence Committee report which criticizes the CIA program as excessive and ineffective at fighting terrorism, Hayden said Feinstein "wanted a report so scathing that it would ensure that an un-American brutal program of detention interrogation would never again be considered or permitted."

"That motivation for the report may show deep emotional feeling on the part of the senator, but I don't think it leads you to an objective report," Hayden said.

Hayden claimed a lack of knowledge about the report itself, but admitted that key information in the hunt for Osama bin Laden from a detainee who was later tortured by the CIA was actually attained before he was ever turned over to the CIA.

So he hasn't read the report, doesn't know what's in it, but does know that there's no way it could be objective because Feinstein has lady parts, so it must be overwrought.
And, by the way, having the goal of preventing torture from ever being policy again is a bad thing. She's just such a girl.

To which Feinstein responded like the mature professional she is: "saying her committee’s report is 'objective, based on fact, thoroughly footnoted, and I am certain it will stand on its own merits. [...] The only direction I gave staff was to let the facts speak for themselves.'"

The facts are that the intelligence community is a bunch of monsters, which they would very much like to conceal.
