Here in Portland OR, smack dab in the middle of one the most concentrated areas of white supremacists in the country [the I-5 corridor from NorCal to the Canadian border]....bet you didn't know that? http://www.splcenter.org/... ....A local channel this morning did a '10 second' story on the Western Washington University president mentioning that their campus needs to be more diverse. University
President Bruce Shepard just wants to have his campus reflect the diversity of the larger community around them.
HOW DARE HE!!
A quick search of WHITE and WWU brings in the expected websites; the dailycaller, redstate, da freepers, etc etc [no more free mentions here] going absolutely batshit about it. But my 'favorite' site, right there by Tucker Carlson's POS site is ni**ermania.dumbshits or something like that. It appears the story started at campusreform.org [a conservative student site] and the author Kaitlyn Schallhorn. A newly graduated 'journalist' I guess. Six paragraphs is an article right? If I'm lucky I'll have more paragraphs.
Finish this story.
I am amazed that these stories are so conveniently placed right around another short-coming from the conservative side of things, like a mass shooting, by a racists. I just find that odd that these stories appear, when needed. Case in point, the author refers to a 2012 speech and RECENT blog post by the President of Western Washington University [http://www.wwu.edu/...] .....from January of this year. Since when is 3 months recent, on the web? So, this recent blog post upset the author so much that to put fingers to keyboard took 3 months. I hope the author is getting the help they need. Judging from the plethora of stories, 30, all the waaaaay back to uh, February of this year, researching must be soooo hard for the author.
Carry On and Be Surprised.
Update: CBS This Morning Just had to weigh in on this 'controversial' story So, there you go, the birth, rearing and maturity of a faux outrage story. Just another of another of another. Be WARNED: Lars Larson makes an appearance in the video . . . sorry.
