Posting a Diary Entry

Daily Kos welcomes blog articles from readers, known as diaries. The Intro section to a diary should be about three paragraphs long, and is required. The body section is optional, as is the poll, which can have 1 to 15 choices. Descriptive tags are also required to help others find your diary by subject; please don't use "cute" tags.

When you're ready, scroll down below the tags and click Save & Preview. You can edit your diary after it's published by clicking Edit Diary. Polls cannot be edited once they are published.

If this is your first time creating a Diary since the Ajax upgrade, before you enter any text below, please press Ctrl-F5 and then hold down the Shift Key and press your browser's Reload button to refresh its cache with the new script files.

ATTENTION: READ THE RULES.

  1. One diary daily maximum.
  2. Substantive diaries only. If you don't have at least three solid, original paragraphs, you should probably post a comment in an Open Thread.
  3. No repetitive diaries. Take a moment to ensure your topic hasn't been blogged (you can search for Stories and Diaries that already cover this topic), though fresh original analysis is always welcome.
  4. Use the "Body" textbox if your diary entry is longer than three paragraphs.
  5. Any images in your posts must be hosted by an approved image hosting service (one of: imageshack.us, photobucket.com, flickr.com, smugmug.com, allyoucanupload.com, picturetrail.com, mac.com, webshots.com, editgrid.com).
  6. Copying and pasting entire copyrighted works is prohibited. If you do quote something, keep it brief, always provide a link to the original source, and use the <blockquote> tags to clearly identify the quoted material. Violating this rule is grounds for immediate banning.
  7. Be civil. Do not "call out" other users by name in diary titles. Do not use profanity in diary titles. Don't write diaries whose main purpose is to deliberately inflame.

Wow!  This is going to leave a mark.

"Wisconsin Deserves Better" is a brand new ad put out by the Democratic Party of Wiscnsin.  Check it out:

Sadly, it's just a web ad.  It SHOULD be an actual over the TeeVee Machine ad reaching plenty of voters.  It will remind them not only about Walkers failed jobs promise and Wisconsin plummeting economy, but of the recent revelations about his criminal scheme to coordinate spending by dark money groups by his campaign.

You can donate to Mary Burke, Scott Walkers democratic candidate on Act Blue or the Wisconsin Democratic Party here.

Grab a broom.  We're trying to sweep Wisconsin clean.

Intro

You must enter an Intro for your Diary Entry between 300 and 1150 characters long (that's approximately 50-175 words without any html or formatting markup).

In other news:

There's the Shorewood (suburb of Milwaukee) Republican charged with 13 counts of voter fraud in 2011 and 2012.

Monroe cast two ballots in the April 2011 Supreme Court election, two in the August 2011 Alberta Darling recall election, five in the Scott Walker-Tom Barrett recall, one illegal ballot in an August 2012 primary, and two ballots in the November 2012 presidential election.

In the presidential election, Monroe cast an in-person absentee ballot in Shorewood on Nov. 1 and drove a rental car to Lebanon, Ind., where he showed his Indiana driver's license to vote in person on election day, Nov. 6, the complaint charges. Monroe owns a house there, according to the complaint.

That's right, he voted both in Wisconsin by absentee and in Indiana in person.  Now THAT is dedication to committing voter fraud.

The investigation started over double voting in Waukesha County by Monroes son who denied asking that an absentee ballot be sent to his fathers address.  They've gone so far as to test the DNA on the absentee ballot envelopes sent with other peoples names on them and only found Monroes.

Evidence also includes text messages he sent out to family members:

It includes text messages between Monroe and his ex-wife, sons and brother, strongly urging them to vote. One text May 23, 2012, to a son reads, "You must go to city hall and register to vote. Every vote will be needed!... Please please please."
He was reportedly very upset at the recall of his State Senator, Alberta Darling, as well as the recall of Governor Scott Walker.  Yes, this is how rabid the wingnuttia is around here.
Monroe faces various counts of election fraud, including registering in more than one place, providing false information to an election official, voting more than once and voting as a disqualified person, for a total 13 felony charges. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of up to 18 months in prison, two years of extended supervision and a $10,000 fine.
Yes, there is voter fraud.  Republicans are committing it.

Check out Uppity Wisconsins fine article, too.

Update 6/25/14:  There's a little more meat on the bones in the article in Shorewood Now, the local paper.  They go into each alleged incident where he used a relatives address to vote.
