Posting a Diary Entry

Daily Kos welcomes blog articles from readers, known as diaries. The Intro section to a diary should be about three paragraphs long, and is required. The body section is optional, as is the poll, which can have 1 to 15 choices. Descriptive tags are also required to help others find your diary by subject; please don't use "cute" tags.

When you're ready, scroll down below the tags and click Save & Preview. You can edit your diary after it's published by clicking Edit Diary. Polls cannot be edited once they are published.

If this is your first time creating a Diary since the Ajax upgrade, before you enter any text below, please press Ctrl-F5 and then hold down the Shift Key and press your browser's Reload button to refresh its cache with the new script files.

  1. One diary daily maximum.
  2. Substantive diaries only. If you don't have at least three solid, original paragraphs, you should probably post a comment in an Open Thread.
  3. No repetitive diaries. Take a moment to ensure your topic hasn't been blogged (you can search for Stories and Diaries that already cover this topic), though fresh original analysis is always welcome.
  4. Use the "Body" textbox if your diary entry is longer than three paragraphs.
  5. Any images in your posts must be hosted by an approved image hosting service (one of: imageshack.us, photobucket.com, flickr.com, smugmug.com, allyoucanupload.com, picturetrail.com, mac.com, webshots.com, editgrid.com).
  6. Copying and pasting entire copyrighted works is prohibited. If you do quote something, keep it brief, always provide a link to the original source, and use the <blockquote> tags to clearly identify the quoted material. Violating this rule is grounds for immediate banning.
  7. Be civil. Do not "call out" other users by name in diary titles. Do not use profanity in diary titles. Don't write diaries whose main purpose is to deliberately inflame.

Please begin with an informative title:

Here is the deal.  My wife has to listen to me and I have to listen to my wife.  That is the deal when you have been married for 33 years.   She is not nearly as politically  involved as I have been over the years but she is much more perceptive than me and has been much more accurate in predicting things over the time we have spent together.

So over the past 33 years of life together, I tend to listen to her and pay attention to her opinion.  For example, the last time she roasted me in her accurate opinion was with the Iraq war.  She was against it from the start.  I was fooled by the media hype and very supportive of the war effort in the beginning.  Suffice it to say, I have had to eat crow and she never lets me forget it.  It hurts since I'm a past Vietnam Veteran Against the War. !!  Oh well - she was right and I admit it.

She is not a part of Daily KOS nor does she have any desire to be a part.  But she did voice an opinion last night and I asked her if I could post a diary on her behalf.  She said yes so here in her own words is what she wrote down:

You must enter an Intro for your Diary Entry between 300 and 1150 characters long (that's approximately 50-175 words without any html or formatting markup).

I read that Karl Rove indicated there is no front runner for President in the Republican ranks.  I don't understand this.  It seems to me that the obvious candidate to represent the Republican Party in the 2012 Presidential election should be Barack Obama.  He obviously supports their ideology.

There you have it in a nutshell.  I don't doubt her accuracy.  I have eaten crow too many times.

Myself, I'm, going to enjoy the holidays and devote 2011 to drafting Hillary Clinton as the nominee for the Democratic Party in the 2012 election.  I made a mistake - OBVIOUSLY!!
