from The Huffington Post:
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) has been tapped to succeed Tim Kaine as chair of the Democratic National Committee, according to multiple reports.
Apparently was a choice between former Ohio Governor Ted Strickland and the Congresswoman. I was on Team Strickland, but I applaud the choice.
Politico states that "Wasserman Schultz, 44, was chosen for her strength as a fund-raiser and as a television messenger, and for her clout in the crucial swing state of Florida, the sources said."
By my count she will be just the third woman to chair the DNC and the fourth woman to lead a national committee ever.
Congratulations to Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz. Give 'em hell!
***As many have noted, the Twittersphere is on FIRE with good wishes and applause this outstanding choice. Join in on the fun and send her a quick congrats!
