I give up.  I may write about the travails of California's Progressive Caucus again sometime, but it won't be based on this now-stale story.

Big firm pro bono lawyers do a lot of good (much of it to offset some of the less good they do), often as the hidden engine that keeps progressive legal challenges going.  Here's a horror story, a pro bono lawyer's nightmare, which just hit the Supreme Court.
