OK, not much of a Diary. But it felt good. My wife and I have to be out of the country from next week until December. In 2008 the absentee voting procedure left us receiving our emailed ballots just in time / or too late to mail them – we never found our which. This year they are out in September. We'll mail them tomorrow. The whole process in Maryland has improved – including the procedure for applying for the ballot. Last time it took almost 45 minutes, this time less than 5.
Also, there is a web address to check and make sure your vote was counted. Again, not much of a diary, but today we donated another $25 to the campaign and voted for Obama – a good day (and the fundraiser on the phone responded to my whine about the pain of listening to the whole required-by-law disclaimer by reading it faster than I thought possible)
