OK

We were out and about today on our bikes but just got back to the condo when it began to blow and rain.

Weatherdude had reported this was coming and I really do not like it, but it just happened-- alert from the Feds came via cell phone text.

Extreme Tornado Warning.
Take Cover Now

We first retired to a remote fishing village on Galveston Bay, later sold it and now spend part time in Santa Fe, NM.  Not used to getting Tornado warnings while here.

All  part of our shiny new weather patterns these days.

Guess I'll keep kosing until I hear the choo choo train sound of a tornado coming.

Did you see this?

or this ?

Whew, it had been raining and

Okay, now back, big gust!

Just checked out NOAA radar loop for Santa Fe and looks like a big storm cell is heading our way.  http://radar.weather.gov/...

5:00 PM PT: Just checked the NWS site for Santa Fe and they have taken down the Tornado warning.  Thanks for all the good wishes!  They worked!

6:09 PM PT: Update 2 While the tornado watch ended, just saw this on NWS  "

.NOW...

THROUGH EARLY EVENING...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS

WILL CONTINUE TO BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE UPPER RIO GRANDE VALLEY AND

NORTHWEST MOUNTAINS. STRONGER STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING

WIND GUSTS AROUND 50 MPH WITH SMALL HAIL...A BRIEF DOWNPOUR AND

OCCASIONAL CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING."

50mph gusts, now that's 10 below hurricane force. Ack.
