OK

The Rmoney campaign is trying to expand into other states and needs 7 million dollars to do it. So, they've fashioned a nice web page called Expandthemap.com (which just takes you to Mittey's site) where they're  asking for donations (large bills only, please) and are evidently offering a few nice prizes to boot!

Everyone loves a sweepstakes drawing right?

"NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN A PRIZE. No contribution or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win this Promotion."
Look at what great prizes a couple of you insignificant little buggers could win...
"Two (2) winners will receive the following Prize: two (2) round-trip coach class plane tickets, for use by the winner and a guest, within the continental United States, for use by the winner and a guest, to the Boston, Massachusetts metropolitan area (“Destination”) on a date to be determined by Sponsor, with an approximate retail value of $1500; two (2) one-night hotel stays at the Destination, for use by the winner and a guest, with an approximate retail value of $500; ground transportation at the discretion of Sponsor, with an approximate retail value of $50..."
but, i found this to be the best part...
"..two (2) passes for the election night event, with no ($0) retail value."
yea, probably won't be much of a party...

After a bit of searching, I found this article at firedoglake, so this sweepstakes thing has been going on for quite some time...

Details of this new initiative can be found at Politico:

"Romney and some of his advisers have talked up the possibility of making a late run at a new state – Pennsylvania, Michigan, Minnesota, etc. – but there's been precious little investment of money or the candidate's time to show for it. Outside groups have spent heavily to try and give Romney a shot at Minnesota, Michigan and Maine's 2nd Congressional District, which is worth a single electoral vote in the state's unusual system. If Romney seriously wants to "expand the map," look for him to make a late visit to one of those places in the next week and a half."
