OK

Matt Barber of the Liberty Counsel and Liberty University is right behind Bryan Fischer and "Porno Pete" LaBarbera as one of the sickest bigots on the anti-gay right. So sick that, as David Badash at the New Civil Rights Movement suggests, the Southern Poverty Law Center might do well to consider naming him a hate group all by himself.

If you're unfamiliar with Barber, let me sum him up briefly. On the last World AIDS Day, he tweeted the following:

Yeah. That's basically all you need. But, if you want to know more, he also wrote an "open letter to homosexuals" last June in which he said the following:

All is not well, and you know it. On this path, “it” decidedly does not “get better.” It only gets worse. You will fall and you will die – perhaps not physical death, straight away – but certainly, an emotional and spiritual death. Homosexual activists, “progressives,” Hollywood, the media, academia and popular culture are telling you to keep running.

I’m yelling, stop!

Your lifestyle – homosexuality – is always and forever, objectively and demonstrably wrong. It is never good, natural, right or praiseworthy. If you have “gay pride,” you have “sin pride.” Although homosexuality is not the only sexual sin, it is, indeed, sin. Scripture is unequivocal on this fact throughout both the Old and New Testaments.

He is also quoted by Porno Pete as calling homosexuality:
one man violently cramming his penis into another man’s lower intestine and calling it "love."
Matt Barber is one sick fuck. But wait--as you know, the anti-gay bigots only get sicker. And this time, it's going to be pretty tough to top.

Now, Barber has penned an "open letter to 'gay' teens" for World Net Daily. He, of course, puts the word gay in quotes because gay doesn't really exist. So clever, that Barber.

Anybody who has been paying attention--and we know Barber pays lots and lots of attention to anything related to homosexuality--knows that LGBT teens are four time more likely to commit suicide than non-LGBT teens. Despite the great work of the "It Gets Better" project, we are in the midst of an LGBT teen suicide epidemic. But Barber doesn't let that get in the way of telling these teens that they're sinners bound for hell unless they commit to living the way he thinks they should live. Gee, it's almost as if Barber wants gay kids to kill themselves.

Here's a snip of what he has to say:

I have three kids, a boy and two girls. My son will soon enter his teenage years. I’ve had many people ask me what I’d say to my children if one of them came to me and declared: “Dad, I’m gay.”

Here’s what I’d say. I’d tell them exactly what I’m about to tell you.

I love you. I neither judge you nor condemn you. I accept you and I would die for you.

But you are not “gay.”

Yes, you may be physically attracted to people of the same sex, but how you act on those attractions is entirely your choice. Who you are – your identity – is not defined by your sexual feelings, temptations or behaviors. The difference between who you are and what you feel or do is as the difference between night and day.

No biggie--just commit to a life of resisting the "temptation" of finding somebody to love. One of the most natural inclinations a person can have. No big deal at all. Live a lonely life for Jesus!

It gets worse:

In fact, homosexual sin is expressly identified in both the Old and New Testaments as being among the list of sins that, if committed without repentance, will prevent you from “inheriting the kingdom of God.”

That is to say, yes; unrepentant homosexual behavior is disobedience to God. If we rebel against God and refuse to repent and ask His forgiveness, then we have chosen our own fate – we have chosen to disqualify ourselves from heaven.

We have chosen hell.

I know, it’s not easy. Temptation is not easy.

To sin, however, is easy.

This might be the real kicker:
If you feel such despair, know this: it is not “homophobia” causing it, as adult enablers might tell you, but, rather, it is the sin itself that causes it (or struggling alone, absent Christ, with the temptation to sin).
In other words: "Don't blame homophobic assholes like me for your distress! That's just your guilt!" Again: Sick, sick fuck.

He then goes on to tell these possibly suicidal teens that "it gets worse" and that they're going to get AIDS and die young.

You are being used. Adult homosexual activists with a political agenda are using you as a pawn to achieve selfish goals in a dangerous political game.

You’re just a means to an end.

They may have convinced themselves otherwise, but they don’t care about you. They don’t love you. They can’t. Their version of “love” is built on lies. It’s devoid of truth.

Love without truth is hate.

If you continue down this wide, empty path, make no mistake: it will not “get better.”

It gets much, much worse.

This is probably one of the most disgusting pieces of hate speech I've ever read. Not because of what it says, because we've heard all of that before--but because of whom it's written to. These teens Barber is hoping reads his article are potentially struggling with suicidal thoughts and feelings of despair, and here he is telling them they should live a life of celibacy or deceit lest they die and burn in hell.

It doesn't get much more reprehensible than that.
