Speaking on Fox News today about Alec Baldwin's recent homophobic Twitter rant, Michelle Malkin defended Rush Limbaugh's 2012 attacks on Sandra Fluke as political ideology:

Here is the main difference between Rush Limbaugh’s political speech versus Alec Baldwin’s unhinged ad hominem speech: Rush Limbaugh’s always trying to make a political point, an ideological point, he is arguing on public policy grounds and sometimes he does it in very entertaining ways or he pushes the edge, but it is never the kind of just completely untethered hate speech and physical threats that Alec Baldwin has been responsible over the years.

Here is a portion of Limbaugh's 'political' speech about Sandra Fluke:

Susan Fluke … so much sex she can’t afford her own birth control pills.

What does that make her?  It makes her a slut right?  It makes her a prostitute!  She wants to be paid to have sex

Ms. Fluke...Who bought your condoms in the 6th grade?

She’s having so much sex it’s amazing she can still walk.

Random hook-ups that these babes are encountering here … having sex nearly 3 times a day.

Ms Fluke and the rest of you FemiNazis, here’s the deal. If we are going to pay for your contraceptives and thus pay for you to have sex...then we want something in return, Ms. Fluke, and that would be the videos of this sex posted online so we can see.

The truth is there was nothing political about Limbaugh's attack on Sandra Fluke at all.  His comments were intended to shame her into silence.

Rush Limbaugh is no more a sage political analyst than my hamster is Napoleon Freaking Bonaparte.  He's an uneducated bully with a bunch of even dumber lemmings.
