In short, shutting down the government would be really dumb. And what’s worse is that the folks in Washington who are threatening a government shutdown right now want to do it for the worst possible reason: to pick another fight over Obamacare.

(Especially if the members of your family had elected the carpenter twice.)
It’s odd that it bothers some people so much to see young adults staying on their parents’ insurance, the Medicare donut hole closing, and insurance companies being held accountable (sending rebates back to millions of American families and businesses this summer!).
But it’s unthinkable that, just because they want to re-fight the same fight over Obamacare that we’ve won time and time again, they’d force a government shutdown and cause so much pain.Click here to sign my petition to Republicans in Washington: Don’t do a dumb thing for the worst possible reason!
Sometimes, it’s hard to know what the right thing is to do. But this is not one of those times. Shutting down the government is the wrong thing to do. And disliking Obamacare is the worst possible reason to do it.
