Fellow red state Democrat, Senator Jon Tester (D. MT), is helping fuel Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes' (D. MY) U.S. Senate campaign to unseat Senate Minority Leader and king obstructionist Mitch McConnell next year:

A few weeks ago, I told you about Alison Lundergan Grimes. She’s running for the U.S. Senate down in Kentucky.

Alison is staring down a tough race in the Bluegrass State. Washington special interest groups are jumping all over her. And she's got a big FEC deadline coming up.

This is going to be her first FEC deadline since she announced her run -- and it's important that she makes a strong showing.

Her campaign is trying to get 15,000 donors before the end of the quarter -- just 2 days away. Can you pitch in $5 or more to help them out?

It's no secret to folks in Montana -- Washington needs more senators that are ready and willing to roll up their sleeves and work hard to get things done.

Alison truly represents the value of hard work and responsibility. She is devoted to protecting Social Security and Medicare. She is ready to fight for our troops, veterans, and their families. And she understands how important it is to cut government waste and get spending under control.

This first FEC goal is critical for Alison -- all the pundits and special interests are going to use the numbers she puts up to judge her grassroots strength. And we can help her make a big impression.

But she only has until Monday night to reach her 15,000 donor goal. Can you give $5 right now to help her out?

Thank you for everything you've done for me over the years. And thank you for considering supporting Alison as well.
