Received this e-mail from U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D. WI) regarding Governor Scott Walker (R. WI) and BadgerCare:
Governor Walker is so tethered to his own politics that he has tied our state up in knots. He turned his back on the opportunity to build a made in Wisconsin, state based insurance marketplace as offered by the Obama administration.

Then Walker refused to strengthen our BadgerCare program by accepting a federal investment to cover our most vulnerable neighbors with the health care coverage they need.

Now, he continues down a path that covers fewer people at a higher cost to taxpayers. Walker's new plan calls for kicking 77,000 people off of BadgerCare and into an exchange he wants repealed - while at the same time keeping over 80,000 people out in the cold for another three months without the health care they need.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. Governor Walker can still partner with the federal government to expand BadgerCare.

Tell Governor Walker and the extreme Republicans in the Wisconsin legislature not to leave 80,000 Wisconsinites without insurance this winter.

Wisconsin continues to pay a price for Governor Walker’s insistence on putting his own politics ahead of what’s best for our state.

Add your voice to mine: Urge Governor Walker not to delay Medicaid coverage for low-income Wisconsin residents.

Thank you,
