A 4.4 earthquake shook Los Angeles this morning:
A shallow, magnitude 4.4 earthquake was reported Monday morning five miles from Westwood, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 6:25 a.m. PDT at a depth of five miles.KTLA anchors were live when the earthquake started to rumble:
There were no reports of injuries or damage. The quake was felt over a large swath of Southern California but especially in the Westside and the San Fernando Valley.
A 2.7 quake, likely an aftershock, was recorded at 7:23 a.m. in the same area.
