Just when you thought Christie's disastrous week couldn't get any worse, it does. Christie lost the $100,000,000 dollar Sheldon Adelson primary today by insulting him and his guests in Las Vegas.
Adelson, a notorious Likudnik, hosted a number of 2016 hopefuls this afternoon. One after another, they groveled on their knees for Adelson's cash by shamelessly pandering on Middle East policy. But then it happened. Running his big mouth, Christie described the West Bank as.... wait for it... "the occupied territories". Yikes!
Now it doesn't sound like a big deal to a person living in a reality based community. It's merely a neutral descriptive term. But it causes wingnuts on Mid East issues to flip out. They prefer the Orwellian term "disputed territories".
A prominent Jewish leader, Morton A. Klein, said he tried to correct Mr. Christie as he left the stage, urging him to use different language, like “disputed territory.” Mr. Christie, he said, “scowled” and did not say whether he would do so in the future. “I was shocked,” said Mr. Klein, national president of the Zionist Organization of America. This caps off a catastrophic week for Chris Christie.
Christie is showing to be increasingly detached from reality, as he somehow still believes he can still run for President. I mean, c'mon, his primary opponents will club him over the head with this scandal. Then there's the polls - ouch.
Now, his lame attempt to white-wash his guilt has only ignited new controversies.
In a desperate Nixonian move, he fired his closest confident.
He's enraged women with his abusive, bullying sexist attacks
He's enraged middle of the road voters by wasting hard earned tax money on personal propaganda
Everyone in the media is openly scoffing at his transparent disinformation
But wait -- it get's hilarious!!!
With Christie's collapse complete, the Washington Post reports the GOP is in full panic and turning to ..... wait for it...... Bush!
the Republican Party’s most powerful insiders and financiers have begun a behind-the-scenes campaign to draft former Florida governor Jeb Bush into the 2016 presidential race, courting him and his intimates and starting talks on fundraising strategy.
OMG! Yeah! You read that right! They're so desperate they're turning to this guy!
Hillary must be dancing a jig.
Just 10 days ago Quinnipiac Polling found Hillary beating Jeb in his own home state of Florida by 11 points. I mean, he was Governor of Florida for 8 years, Florida has been a 50-50 state for 20 years, he has 100% name I.D. and even under these favorable circumstances he loses his home court advantage by DOUBLE DIGITS!
And it get's worse: last month, Ouinnipiac found Hillary beating Jeb in the long time closely contested state of Ohio by ...... 15 points.
I mean, if the best you can do is a guy who losses swing states by landslide numbers, then turn out the lights and concede the election.
