"Seems to me the anger comes from haters realizing they are pretty fringy."

You remember Gus Fring, right?  He was Heisenberg's arch nemesis for a few seasons on "Breaking Bad."

Yesterday, our beloved host once again declared his unreserved support for Hillary Rodham Clinton -- assuming she runs and wins the nomination, of course -- and those folks who don't unreservedly, or even reluctantly, fall in line and support her are angry because they just found out how fringy they truly are.

Let me be up front.  I am not now nor have I ever been a supporter of Hillary Clinton for president.  I don't hate Hillary Clinton, I don't hate women, and I don't hate white people; I just never thought her policies and from what I can tell of her political philosophy jibed with my own.  That's all.

I'd like to add that I'm not fringy either!

Gustavo "Gus" Fring is a fictional character in the American television drama series Breaking Bad on AMC. He is portrayed by Giancarlo Esposito and was created by series creator Vince Gilligan. Gus is one of the most prominent methamphetamine distributors in the southwestern United States. He owns and operates several legitimate businesses, including a chain of successful fast food restaurants (called Los Pollos Hermanos) and an industrial laundry facility, as well as fronts for a vast and sophisticated drug operation. Gus maintains a friendly and low-key exterior; he takes an active role in managing his front businesses and personally supervises employees and serves customers at his fast food restaurants. In order to keep up appearances, Gus is a board member at a hospital in the South Valley and a booster for the DEA, and has made large donations to the agency's Albuquerque office. However, Gus is ruthless and Machiavellian in managing his vast drug empire. He employs a number of enforcers and has personally killed rivals and associates.

Personally killed rivals and associates!

Vast and sophisticated drug operation!

What, we're fringy now?

By the way, what's the opposite of fringy?

I've already expressed myself on this topic in a diary I wrote back in March, On Holding One's Nose.

My thoughts have not changed.  No amount of polls and being called an angry, fringy hater is going to change that.

Having read Kos' diary yesterday, and a few response diaries since, this subject has been on my mind a lot.  Today, after work, as I was lugging my grocery bags home, I went to push the button for the walk signal at an intersection.  Someone had taped a hand-written note right above the button that said:

STOP.  Now do something to make the world a better place.

Would a Hillary Clinton presidency make the world a better place?

My gut says no.  It may not be a much worse place, but it won't be a better place.

Not unless she does a one-eighty on a bunch of her stated-positions.  This is one of the things that wefringy haters worry about:

Another issue we fringy haters are concerned about:

Where does Hillary Clinton stand on those, and other issues?  Can we at least find out before we get called angry fringy haters for not throwing our support behind her?
