This week's guests-
The Daily Show
The Cobert Report
Let's face it folks, Greenwald is the 'get' tonight and I'll mention once again what a shame it is that Stephen doesn't do extended. Still, if you want some more Glenn in action here's his recent 90 minute debate with voyeur Michael Hayden.
This is a classic ass-whuppin' and if there were any justice Hayden would slink away in shame never to be heard from again. Unfortunately there is no justice in D.C. and it's Glenn who has to live in exile while Hayden continues to be considered Very Serious and suck at the government tit like the whiny ass welfare baby he is.
Dr. Martin Blaser will be on to talk about his new book, Missing Microbes: How the Overuse of Antibiotics Is Fueling Our Modern Plagues. I think this is the second most serious (after Climate Change) environmental problem facing our species. History is littered with the bones of empires that fell not in battle, but to diseases and plagues.
The other big news is of course that Larry Wilmore has been named as Stephen Colbert's replacement starting in January.
Short one tonight, I've been chasing upgrades and you know how that goes. Update one piece of software and all of a sudden everything else stops until you find a stable mix. I am now running FireFox 17.0.11esr (stands for extended service release) which led to Flashplayer, Java, and Firewall changes. Since this version is about 6 months old (11/14/13) it should be new enough to eliminate some of my browsing quirks with certain sites. For instance Yahoo Mail no longer complains every time I sign in. Comedy Central on the other hand...
But there's no guarantee of stability and if I suddenly fall silent it's probably because my system popped for the 27th time today.
