I just read about this in The Huffington Post. On May 11, Michigan author Christine Weick held up a sign at an intersection in Grandville, Michigan that read "Thank your mom today for not being gay". She's a hateful bigot without question. But I'd rather have not seen another woman throw a slushie on her to protest the sign. It's an act of physicality that shouldn't be used in this movement, and it isn't a good look for us. It just gives our opponents ammunition to attack us as intolerant. She could also face three months jail. Let's stick to the more clever tactics of holding up signs like this:

(I didn't tag this diary "LGBT" or "Marriage Equality" because the slushie thrower likely was not LGBT, and marriage equality was not the issue.)
