I know the religious right and the ammosexuals overlap to the point of gun giveaways at churches,  But this guy scares me.

“When Rambo was dropping the missionaries off at their destination, the lead missionary was stepping off the boat and turned to Rambo. ‘I know you think what you did is right,’ the missionary said, ‘but it’s never right to take a life.’”
Eipper cringed. “I thought, ‘What if there’s a young believer in Christ watching this? What if it’s somebody who is in the Marine Corps? Or an officer? They’re going to be so confused. They’ll think, ‘Surely this guy is speaking on authority of Scripture.’”
Rambo? You get your inspiration from Rambo??
Apparently, society has Jesus all wrong–but Eipper doesn’t!
Um... yeah...
“When Jesus comes back, he will be the man of war. When he comes back, there will be a whole lot of killing going on. Scripture says that (Jesus) is going to be the one doing it. Our Savior will be going to battle. Finally, Israel will see their national salvation occurring.”
I didn't know the Prince of Peace had such a hard-on.

What disturbs me is the ongoing inculcating of religion into our military and police.  On the military side, I believe "believers" are given special consideration and others drift out of the military because they have trouble advancing.

The same with LEOs across the nation. While there should not be a religious test when hiring, I'm sure there is "dog-whistling" when the interviews are conducted and the background check is done.

I believe many of the police violence incidents in this country are attributable to a sense of "righteousness" and "a calling" both of which can grow out of religion very quickly.

These are my opinions, not something I can prove. But I believe what my heart, eyes and brain tells me: (most times) That there is a deep sickness in our militarized police forces and it's getting worse.

What do we do? How many more of these guys are running around with military-grade weaponry and a messiah complex?

Not to mention all the same kinds of people running around who AREN'T cops!
