For all of those people out there that say that even Iowans who can’t get off work are disenfranchised for not being able to make a town meeting to vote in the caucuses, read on: surrogating for others

Iowa’s Republican Secretary of State, Michael Mauro, says that it’s apparently legal to get a surrogate and have someone caucus for you if you can’t make the meeting. So basically, Iowans have no excuse why they can’t go out or find someone to vote for them this evening (unless, of course, they don’t have any friends).

So come one, come all. Tell your friend that has to work that you know someone who can caucus for them. Then they just might not be disenfranchised (quite as much) after all.
