OK

I am in a state of utter confusion after reading several Left-leaning blogs since Tuesday night.  I was wondering if someone could please enlighten me?

Didn't the Democrats just win the Presidency, with a candidate promising the most "Progressive" policies in history?  Why are you still angry?

Let me start by saying that I don't agree with Barack Obama on any major political issue.  Nothing.  I'm a die-hard libertarian who votes Republican.  I wanted John McCain to win for the same reason Dr. Thomas Sowell did, "I prefer a disaster to a catastrophe."

With that being said, Barack Obama is not only your President.  He is America's President.  Most importantly, I want him to succeed.  Your job now is to make sure he succeeds, otherwise Barack Obama will be another Jimmy Carter, ushering another Ronald Reagan after four years.

Sadly, when I read the Daily Kos, Huffington Post, etc., I get a sense that many of you are angry.  You are angry with Karl Rove, Fox News, George Bush, Dick Cheney, Sarah Palin, John McCain, Joe the Plumber, Michele Bachmann, Rush Limbaugh, Alaska, etc.  You are so angry in fact that now your energy is to prosecute the next perceived "corrupt" Republican.

Is this really why you elected Obama, to have a bunch of show trials?  What a waste!  When a team wins the Super Bowl, is their next action to trash the team that lost?  You won; act like it!

The Republicans presently have no power to do anything, except filibuster.  Essentially, that means you will get Obama's healthcare plan, environmental legislation, two to three liberal Supreme Court Justices and everything else that I think will be destructive to our society.

As a student of history and economics, I understand that most of what Obama is promising is going to be incredibly bad for the poor and America's economy.

Just look at the last two days. Barack Obama election just brought the greatest downturn in the Stock Market post election in history.  I know Media Matters said the Right was fearmongering when they said Obama would tank the Stock market, but when he promises to increase corporate taxes and capital gains taxes for the purposes of fairness, people will sell their stocks.  We predicted this over and over again.  Now it has been proven true.

Did people on the Right want their stocks to tank to prove their were correct?

I can tell you honestly, I would accept Republicans out of power for 100 years if Obama could improve the economy and help the poor.  But, nothing he promises is going to do that.

I know many of your liberal professors didn't teach you why this is true; but evidently, I must be an evil Republican.

In fact, many of Obama's policies scare me to death.  Notably, this statement by Obama should make "liberals" everywhere pause:

"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

America has never had a civilian military force.  Canada, Britain, France, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and Australia have never had civilian military forces.  However, Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Kim Jong II, Mao and Saddam had civilian military forces.  Am I being too partisan by simply requesting that Obama not have a civilian national security force in America's streets, no matter the good intentions.

Why in the world would the Daily Kos support something like this?!

What about the Fairness Doctrine as well.  Are "liberals" seriously going to force a niche area of talk radio to balance its viewpoints simply because it uses the wavelength spectrum to reach viewers, as opposed to bandwidth?

Overall, the Country needs the Daily Kos to be Obama's watchdog rather than his blind cheerleader.  Otherwise, you are likely to cheer him right off a cliff.
