OK

So, I, like anyone with a soul, was disgusted to discover that 30 Republican Senators--all male, of course--voted to allow the federal government to do business with companies that condone their own employees being drugged, kidnapped, gang-raped, beaten and imprisoned by other employees.

Especially the gang-rape part; gotta leave that as an option--you know, to keep morale high among the ones doing the raping.

Anyway, I decided to look up the names of the 30 pieces of shit who voted to deny a gang-rape victim her day in court, and then checked to see which ones are up for re-election:

Alexander (R-TN)
Barrasso (R-WY)
Bond (R-MO)
Brownback (R-KS)
Bunning (R-KY)
Burr (R-NC)
Chambliss (R-GA)
Coburn (R-OK)
Cochran (R-MS)
Corker (R-TN)
Cornyn (R-TX)
Crapo (R-ID)
DeMint (R-SC)
Ensign (R-NV)
Enzi (R-WY)
Graham (R-SC)
Gregg (R-NH)
Inhofe (R-OK)
Isakson (R-GA)
Johanns (R-NE)
Kyl (R-AZ)
McCain (R-AZ)
McConnell (R-KY)
Risch (R-ID)
Roberts (R-KS)
Sessions (R-AL)
Shelby (R-AL)
Thune (R-SD)
Vitter (R-LA)

Wicker (R-MS)

retiring/running for a different office
running for re-election in 2010

So, there you have it: The following 9 GOP Senators, all up for re-election next year, voted in favor of legalized gang rape:

Richard Burr of North Carolina
Tom Coburn of Oklahoma
Mike Crapo of Idaho
Jim DeMint of South Carolina
Johnny Isakson of Georgia
John McCain of Arizona
Richard Shelby of Alabama
John Thune of South Dakota
David Vitter of Louisiana

So, it seems to me that the ads for the Democratic candidates in the 9 races above should pretty much write themselves, but let's give a bit of help, shall we? Enter your best ideas below.

Update: Actually, I think JRandomPoster hit the nail on the head in the comments already:

Something like the following:

--Fade in on a photo of Jamie Lee Jones' face, which remains onscreen throughout the ad.
--Voiceover quickly summarizes the horror that she went through, and how the GOP Senator voted to allow it to happen to other women.
--Voiceover asks simply "What if she was your daughter?"
--Fade to black.

That's it. It's simple, it's memorable, it's chilling, and, most importantly, it's TRUE.

I can see a huge impact on any men with daughters in their teens/twenties, and pretty much all female demographics.
