Here we go again, folks. Sources are telling reporters for the 6,523rd time that White House Chief of Staff John Kelly is expected to resign "in the coming days," according to CNN.
Though Kelly reportedly has continued to attend meetings and stay engaged, his relationship with Trump has soured to the point where it has become untenable for both men.
Trump is said to be contemplating Nick Ayers, Mike Pence's 36-year-old chief of staff, to replace Kelly, 68, as the West Wing braces for the political battles looming next year with House Democrats.
It's nothing we haven't heard before, but the timing sure seems about right.
