This week marked my first anniversary as part of the Daily Kos staff, and what a year it’s been. Working here has taken me across the nation, allowed me to meet so many of you great folks in New Orleans at Netroots Nation, and feel more connected to and more involved in the progressive fight than I have since I joined the Kerry-Edwards campaign as a little baby activist in 2004. My understanding and appreciation of the work Daily Kos does grows every day.
One of the most exciting aspects of my work here at DK is curating each week’s installment in this series. I love wading through the content you create for this site, dear Community, and getting to know so many of you through your great work here. I truly had no real understanding of the depth and power of the Daily Kos Community until I started working here, and I'm so grateful to have been welcomed with open arms thus far.
So I have a couple questions for those of you who actually read my prose rather than simply scanning this list each week:
Why do you write for Daily Kos? What led you here in the first place, and what keeps you here today? Come on, spill those beans!
I hope you’ll take some time to share your DK story in the comments—either way, here are this week’s picks!
