At a snowy outdoor rally in Minneapolis, Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar officially announced she will be running for the presidency of the United States. She joins fellow U.S. Senators Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand and Cory Booker in the race for the Democratic nomination.
"As your president, I will look you in the eye, I will tell you what I think, I will focus on getting things done ... and no matter what, I'll lead from the heart"
Klobuchar, who has been a vocal critic of Donald Trump for the last two years, joins what is expected to be a crowded Democratic primary contest in which opposition to Trump, condemnations of Republican malfeasance, and calls for bold action on climate change, healthcare reform, and other top national issues are expected to dominate.
