The entire world is watching as one of the most iconic cathedrals in the world is being engulfed by a fire that French authorities believe was started during a construction accident. The spire and dome of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris had been undergoing renovations.
Below you can see religion expert Marek Halter describing the most vulnerable parts of the cathedral that may be completely lost do the fire. Another French official said on CNN that the cathedral bells are melting and if they fall, the tower will also collapse completely. Unfortunately, this seems like an increasingly likely scenario.
Meanwhile, our incompetent-in-chief suggested they do water drops from planes, something firefighting experts quickly said is the exact wrong thing to do in this situation as it could injure bystanders and do significant damage to the historical structure.

French journalist Nicolas Delesalle reports on the known losses inside the cathedral, most of it made from 24 hectacres of oaks that were cut in the 13th century.
