The retail blast of Black Friday has increasingly expanded into Thanksgiving itself, to the point where major retail chains that don’t open on Thanksgiving are noteworthy. Giving workers a major holiday off is just that big an ask, apparently. But that is where we are these days, so here are stores that will be closed on Thanksgiving, according to BestBlackFriday.com and other sources.
They range from huge chains like Petco and PetSmart (do not plan on buying a cat tree on Thanksgiving day) to much smaller ones like Sierra Trading Post and Half-Price Books.
