We have known for months that Latino voters hold an abysmal view of Donald Trump, along with some other GOP presidential contenders. But new polling of Latino voters in battleground states from Latino Decisions and impreMedia shows just how big a toll the GOP's anti-immigrant rhetoric has taken on the Republican brand.
While the number of Latino voters that say the GOP "truly cares" about Latinos has remained virtually unchanged since 2012, the number who think Latinos aren't really on the GOP's radar has dropped 17 points. The number who say the GOP is "hostile" to Latinos has spiked 27 points.
This is what happens when the candidate who has dominated your party in the polls indiscriminately and repeatedly slanders a powerful voting bloc, and promises to deport every single undocumented immigrant starting on day one of his presidency.
