Jeb! Bush seems to be enjoying all the attention he’s getting for attacking Donald Trump—a move he’s trying to play as strength even though it comes from desperation—and now he’s managed to drag President Obama into that mess:
"He would not exist were it not for Barack Obama," Bush said of Trump. "He is the [antidote] in some people's minds to the politically correct, divisive policies of Barack Obama."
Attacking two people at once is a higher level of political skill than we’ve come to expect from the bumbling Bush, but … isn’t he kind of saying that “in some people’s minds” (a big chunk of Republicans), racism is the antidote to not-racism? Or, more bluntly, that racism is the antidote to a black president? And don’t you love how, even though Bush also said of Trump’s appeal that “There are reasons why people are angry and he's preying on that, not offering tangible solutions,” it’s Obama whose policies are divisive?
